3 suicides shock Kurnool people

In the 3 suicides, 2 are of brothers

Kurnool :  Two tragic incidents involving 3 suicides shook Kurnool people on Monday. While one of the shocking incidents was the suicide of a servant maid in a doctor’s house, the second was the suicide of two brothers in the town.

Rajani, who was working as maid servant in the house of Dr Chiranjeevi Reddy at Adityangar, was found hanging to the ceiling fan in her room. She used to wake up early in the morning and attend to her domestic work. But she didn’t come out of the room ever after 7 a.m on Monday. This made the doctor peep through the window. She was found dead hanging to the ceiling fan.

Dr Chiranjeevi Reddy called the police and the body was sent to postmortem. Reports said that the doctor’s wife was out of station for the last one month. In this backdrop, locals have expressed doubts over the suicide. The doctor was working  in a private hospital at Nandyal while his residence is located in Kurnool.

Rajani‘s father Panduranga Swamy is working as a  security guard in a hospital at Kurnool. The family is from Burujupalle near Giddalur in Prakasam district.  Rajani has been working as servant maid in Dr Chirnajeevi Reddy‘s house for the last one and half year.

Two brothers commit suicide

In another tragedy, two brothers, Mallikarjuna Reddy and Jagannadam Reddy of Kodumuru Kota Veedhi in Kurnool,  committed suicide by consuming pesticide. Reports said the brothers are in a debt trap and ended lives unable to repay their debts. Police have registered cases with regard to the 3 suicides and are investigating.
