Warangal: An Armed Reserve constable killed his wife over a petty argument in Warangal district on Sunday. T. Yakaiah, AR Constable attached to the Police training college at Madikonda, strangled his wife to death in the wee hours of Sunday at his Ramnagar residence at Hanmakonda.
Yakaiah fiercely argued with his wife Radhika, 23, the night before over going to his native village for three days continuous holidays. He hails from Odde Kothapally in Peddavangara Mandalam of Mahabubnagar district.
When he proposed that they go to their native village as he was getting three consecutive holidays, she bluntly refused. They both argued on the issue for some time and went to bed. But an enraged Yakaiah strangled her to death in the wee hours of Sunday while she was sleeping. He then informed neighbors that his wife was not waking up.
The neighbors who found her lifeless called the police suspecting something fishy.When interrogated by the police, Yakaiah disclosed that he had killed his wife. He was arrested and sent on judicial remand.
