Hyderabad: As a section of the media (Not Telugus Today) disclosed the names of prominent Tollywood personalities in the case relating to drug abuse, some of them denied their involvement.
Hero Tarun, who is presently shooting for his new movie Idi Naa Love Story after a long gap, denied involvement in drug abuse in any way.
“I am shocked to see my name in a section of the media in drug abuse case. I have nothing to do with the said drug abuse. I don’t know why my name was dragged into this. I will cooperate with the officials in the investigation. I hereby inform you I am not involved in any way in this racket. My family members were shaken by the news,” said Tarun in a press note.
Subbaraju, Navadeep receive notices
Actors Subbaraju and Nava Deep confirmed that they had received notices from special investigation team probing the drug racket. “It is true we have received notices but we are not in any way concerned with the allegations,” they said, saying they don’t know who the drug mafia king Kalvin is.
“I was stunned to receive the notices from the SIT. I don’t know why they served me notices when I have nothing to do with the drugs,” said Subba Raju, a well known actor.
Hero Nava deep tone was different. “I have received the notices. I will fully cooperate with the authorities in the investigation. I don’t know anything about these drugs,” he said.
A stunned Nandu goes to SIT office
Nandu, an upcoming actor and husband of singer Geeta Madhuri denied that he received notices from the SIT. “Some people are just trying to denigrate my character. I have not received any notices,” he said, reacting to his name appearing in a section of the media in connection with the drug racket probe. He said he is also ready to give his blood samples for any test. “I request the SIT to give a clarification on this,” he appealed.
Nandu even went to the SIT office to seek a clarification on the news appearing in media in the case. As no official was present in the office, he returned but he spoke to the media persons.
Art director Chinna too denied that he received any notices from the drug racket probing officials. “Unnecessarily, my name was dragged into this. My family is worried about the news,” he said, making it clear that he has not received any notices.

Actress-dancer Mumaith Khan also denied receiving notices from the SIT . “I have nothing to do with drug abuse or drugs racket. Without verifying facts, my photos are being transmitted over TV channels. I have not received any notices. Don’t blame me without proper verification,” she appealed to media.
