Hyderabad: Two Telugu persons died in a road accident in South Africa on July 13. While one of them was from Khammam district in Telangana, the other was his friend from Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh.
Ankireddy Gopikrishna Reddy, 35, of Vandanam village in Chintakani Mandalam in Khammam district was killed when the car in which he was travelling was hit in a head-on collision by a car coming in the opposite direction on the outskirts of Bethlehem City. His friend, Basireddy Rajagopala Reddy, 40, of Kadapa town was severely injured in the accident. He later died while undergoing treatment in hospital.
According to family members, Gopikrishna Reddy, an MBA graduate, went to South Africa to attend job interviews in three companies. The accident took plate while he was returning after finishing his interviews. In the accident, three other persons, all South Africans, were burnt alive after their car caught fire.
Family members are taking the help of Telangana Government in bringing the body of Gopikrishna Reddy back to Khammam.
